Bali, Indonesia: An itinerary to inspire and lift your spirits

I get to work on some amazing itineraries for our clients every day. It is something I love doing and is a passion of mine. Every time I design a customized journey to the far corners of the world I feel like I am going there myself.

Often these itineraries are just seen by the clients going on that particular journey but from now on I’ll share some of these trips we are creating and hope that reading it will transport you into another world and maybe inspire you to visit one or the other place you’ll read about.

Day 8 Travel to a small mountain village. This is an area that’s completely off the beaten track and is rarely seen by visitors to Bali. On the way to the village, you’ll visit an elementary school where a visit a classroom is planned and where you have the opportunity to deliver a gift of school supplies (subject to classes being in session).

On arrival at the village, spend time with a farmer in the fields. You’ll have an opportunity to participate in preparing farm implements, and planting or cultivating rice using traditional methods. Or, feel free to just observe and take pictures. Continue to the village compound where you’ll see a demonstration, have a short lesson, and participate in playing the instruments of the village gamelan orchestra. In addition, you’ll have a lesson in how to make a temple offering and a woven coconut leaf hat.

Following your visit to the village you’ll transfer to Pemuteran in the north of Bali, following a stop at Pulaki monkey temple. Two nights accommodations in a garden view room at the Matahari Beach Resort.
